Who We Are

WOSMIP is an open, international forum where innovative ideas and concepts are discussed with input from a wide range of scientists, technicians, and others interested in emissions from man-made processes and how we might lessen the impact.  WOSMIP has enjoyed attendance from hundreds of scientists from nearly 50 countries from every continent (except Antarctica!).

Support from the community is critical to maintaining the success of previous WOSMIP workshops, and new participation is strongly encouraged.  The focus of the WOSMIP community includes radioisotopes released from nuclear power plants, research reactors, and medical and industrial isotope production, though we have also studied special events, such as the Fukushima nuclear disaster and other events.
